I'm a little snowflake
You can see...
No other snowflake
Looks like me!
Please pick me up
After I fall,
And roll me with my friends
To make a snowball.

Merry Snowflakes
Merry little snowflakes falling to the ground,
(fingers flutter life falling snow)
They're landing on the treetops, covering our town.
(fingers flutter)
They softly fall on noses (touch nose)
And make our hair look white. (touch hair)
They seem to call, 'Come out and play!' ('come here' motion)
As they fall throughout the night. (repeat first action)

Snowflakes Falling From The Sky - sung to "Mary Had a Little
Lamb"
Snowflakes falling from the sky,
from the sky, from the sky.
Snowflakes falling from the sky, to the earth below,
Watch them as they dance and whirl,
dance and whirl, dance and whirl,
Watch them as they dance and whirl,
soft white winter snow.

Dressing for Winter - (Flannel Story)
This is how we dress on a cold Winter's day.
We put on our snowsuits to go out to play.
Then we put on our boots for walking in the snow.
Next, our hats and our mittens.
'Cause the wind begins to blow.
And now we're all ready to go out and play.
We'll stay nice and warm on this cold Winter day.

It Is Snowing - sung to "Frere Jacques"
It is snowing, it is snowing,
All around, all around,
Soft and quiet snowflakes,
Soft and quiet snowflakes,
Not a sound, not a sound.

Snowman Pokey
Glue white pompoms to tongue depressors to make snowmen for
this song.
You put your snowman up, you put your snowman down,
You put your snowman up and you shake him all around.
You do the snowman pokey and you turn your self around,
Stomp your boots on the ground!
You put your snowman in front
You put your snowman in back,
You put your snowman in front and you give your knee a
whack.
You do the snowman pokey and you turn your self around,
Stomp your boots on the ground!
You touch your snowman to your head,
You touch your snowman to your toe,
You touch your snowman to your head and you shake it to and
fro,
You do the snowman pokey and your turn your self around,
Stomp your boots on the ground!

The Snowman
Roll the snow into some balls.
Make a snowman, oh so tall.
Place a hat upon his head.
Give him buttons that are red.
Use some coal to make his eyes.
You can do it if you try!
Next, he needs a carrot nose.
Where will we get one of those?
Make a mouth and he'll be done.
Making snowmen is such fun!

Snow Snow makes whiteness where it falls.
The bushes look like popcorn balls.
And places where I always play
Look like somewhere else today. |
Sliding - sung to "Row, Row, Row Your Boat"
Crunch, Crunch, Crunch, Crunch, Crunch,
Up the hill we go -
Sliding, sliding, sliding, sliding,
Down the hill we go.

Melting Snowmen
Here's a snowman round and fat; (make circle with arms)
Out comes the sun and melts his hat. (touch head)
Here's a snowman with a scarf of red;
Out comes the sun and melts his head. (touch head)
Here's a snowman, fit as a fiddle;
Out comes the sun and melts his middle. (touch stomach)
Here's a snowman who waits for dawn;
Out comes the sun and he's all gone!

5 little snowmen standing on the ground ...
The first one said: "Oh, my, aren't we round!"
The second one said: "There are snowflakes in the air."
The third one said: "But we don't care."
The fourth one said: "Let's run and run and run."
The fifth one said: "I'm ready for some fun."
Oooo-ooo went the wind and out came the sun,
And the five little snowman knew their fun was done. |
The snow fell gently all the night.
It made a blanket soft and white.
It covered houses, flowers and ground
But did not make a single sound |
A Chubby Little Snowman
A chubby little snowman
Had a carrot nose
Along came a rabbit
And what do you suppose?
That hungry little bunny,
Looking for his lunch,
ATE the snowman's carrot nose...
Nibble, nibble, CRUNCH!

I am a little snowman.
I am so fat and round.
I started from a snowflake
that fell upon the ground.
I have two buttons for my eyes,
a great big scarf of red,
I have a carrot for a nose,
a hat upon my head.
