My principal required two schedules, one for Kindergarten and one for First, even though most of the time they're doing the same work

9:15 - 9:30 Floor Time w/ KinderKids

Poetry & Song Cards / Alphabet & Phonics / Mini Lesson(s) /Modeled

9:30 - 9:40 Whole Group Seatwork (Worksheets,
Spelling), Followed by Literacy Centers,
SSR, Independent Work – children read Home Reading books w/ adult

8:30 - 9:05 Math Their Way - Math Tubs or Other Math Activity OR Integrated Thematic Activities for Science/Social Studies (children read Home Reading books to an adult during this time)
9:05 - 9:15 Opening - Flag Salute, Good Morning Song, Calendar
9:15 - 9:30 Shared Reading / Phonics / Floor Time with First Grade
9:30 - 9:40 SSR / Handwriting / Other activity followed by Literacy Centers and reading groups
9:40 - 9:50 Reading Group #1
9:50 - 10:00 Reading Group #2
10:00 - 10:20 P.E. with other Kinder Classes
10:20 - 10:30 Floor Time with First Grade - Poetry, Pocket Charts, Shared Reading, Modeled Writing
10:30 - 11:10 Writers Workshop and Literacy Centers OR Integrated Thematic Activities (music, art, science, social studies, etc.)
11:10 - 11:30 Developmental Centers with First Graders
11:30 - 11:40 Clean Up, Community Time, Pass Out Homework
11:45 Walk to cafeteria with first graders -- Dismissal to Lunch / Home
This is my schedule for a straight First Grade (our bell schedule changed this year):

9:10 - 11:00 INTEGRATED LANGUAGE ARTS
9:10 - 9:25 Floor Time – Alphabet & Phonics / Shared Reading
9:25 Whole Group Seatwork / Independent Work / Home Reading / Followed by Literacy Centers and Reading Groups
During this time, I had two pullout groups go to the Reading Lab for 25 minutes each
10:20 - 10:30 Clean Up and Floor Time – Poetry / Shared Reading
10:30 - 10:40 RECESS
10:40 - 11:20 Writers Workshop/Home Reading OR Integrated Thematic Activities
WED 10:45 - 11:05 Library FRI 10:55 - 11:25 Computer
