Math Excursions ~ from Heinemann

Math Excursions are excellent "replacement units" to supplement your math program.  All three books were written by former Math Their Way trainers, who are also the authors of the acclaimed Box It or Bag It series

Math Excursions K
Project-Based Mathematics for Kindergartners
Kinderkids sort buttons, measure teddy bears, build houses, count and graph.
5 delightful units that integrate with literature.
Highly recommended!

Math Excursions 1
Project-Based Mathematics for First Graders
I use this book and the kindergarten one with both kinderkids and first graders, with excellent results!  The projects get the kids deeply involved in their learning.
This book covers counting patterns, has a unit where the kids make their own hats, another where they have to divide candy (fractions), and they write lots of story problems.  Amazon states that this book is Special Order, but it's readily available.

Math Excursions 2
Project-Based Mathematics for Second Graders
I've taught the units in this book to first and second graders.  They love the cookie math unit, where they bake their own cookie manipulatives and then write story problems.  Other units include building a model village and planning a party for 100 friends.
Amazon states that this book is Special Order, but it's readily available.
