Hello
From Victoria, and thanks for
visiting KinderKorner!
Monday March 16, 2009 ... Please
take a moment to visit my
What's New
Page, to read today's updates
and information.
Springtime is coming, and in my part of
California it's already here! Warmer days, blue skies, sunshine, birdsong,
and flowers. It's time to start your favorite spring units, and KinderKorner is
ready to help make this your best spring ever!
Today, more than ever, our students need
multiple
opportunities to work with familiar concepts and materials in a wide variety of
ways, which accelerates student learning and progress towards
meeting academic standards. Throughout the KinderKorner website, you'll find thousands of
examples of how this is done, including hundreds of classroom photos. The
website is always growing, so I encourage you to take the time to explore and to
come back often.
Whether you're looking
for ideas to fill out your spring curriculum -- or are planning ahead for
the remainder of the school year -- you'll find lots of
terrific ideas and activities using the links below. These links are
simply suggestions for where to start as you check out all that KinderKorner has
to offer:
In
addition to my online materials,
KinderKorner
offers ready-to-use materials for
purchase, including reproducible big
books and emergent readers, monthly
thematic literacy packets, and the
resource books from my popular
balanced literacy workshops.
For additional information about
KinderKorner Resource Products,
please check the
What's On Sale section on this
page, as well as the
Online
Catalog.
I recently redesigned the main KinderKorner page,
and a few of the links are not yet working. Until they are, the
old
KinderKorner index page is still
available by
clicking here. (Please
note: it takes a long time to load).
While
you're here, be sure to visit the
In My Room
Photo Section, which contains a
photo journal of nearly a full year
in my classroom. It's packed
with additional thematic activities,
dozens of student projects, many of
our monthly quilts and TLC art
activities, and hundreds of photos
of the day to day work in my
classroom.
Happy
Teaching!
